For years college baseball has been dominated by the hitters. Unlike the professionals who use wood bats college players use metal or aluminum bats. Many have debated that they should change college to wood bats. Kids are getting bigger and stronger and the balls are coming of at a ridiculous speed. They do have regulations on how fast a ball should come off the bat, but still the ball comes of way to fast. Well finally this year college baseball has forced a new rule for every Division 1 baseball program. They must all use brand new metal bats that are made to be more like a wood bat.
These new bats are a joke. It's worse than hitting with wood. I know they're trying to make the game safer but I think maybe we should just stop using metal bats all together.
ReplyDeleteThat would cost a lot of money to make the switch to wood instead of metal and what about those kids who are decent with the metal bats and contribute in college but cant swing wood and never had a chance for the pros. That would eliminate a lot of players from the college level.
