CWS

Every college baseball team has the dream of playing in the college world series. I would say almost every kid that plays baseball wants to obviously make it to the Pro's, but everyone want to have the experience of going to the college world series. I have had the pleasure of getting to go to the CWS and it is insane! The crowds are huge and it is a even fan base. No home team advantage because the teams and fans come from all over the country. Which makes for a very unique environment to play in and watch. Everyone just wants to watch good baseball and hope to see the next great professional player in their younger years. In the video it shows many professional players that have come through Omaha and would all say it is a great experience that everyone should get to have a part of.

Hair

Some people have short hair, some people have long hair, some have afros, some people don't have hair at all.  Hair is just a funny thing, you can do so much with; color it, spike it, curl it, cut it.  Anything your tiny little mind can imagine you can probably do with your hair.  Personally I am a big fan of the mo hawk.  In my mind it comes off as an image of power.  The spartan helmets had hair or something like that on top of their helmets as seen in the motion picture 300.  Also you can find many fighters who are some tough bad mothers sporting the hawk.  But some people don't like the taste of the hawk.  Other will prefer different hair styles, like the one my buddy posted on  Strike One Blogging.  These two styles of hair are a little extreme and many people do not like them, but for the rare few who sport these hair styles. I salute you!  For other goofy and normal hair styles check out this.

Fear the Beard!

If you haven't been following the world series then you must live under a rock, especially if you are in the bay area. The San Fransisco Giants are world series champs! I am not a Giants fan by any means, but it is nice to see a local team step up in the post season and bring home some hardware. The post season was very exciting for the Giants and there was no bigger or crucial player then Giants closer Brian Wilson. The mo hawk sporting, died beard, flame throwing right hander has the Giants nation saying "Fear the Beard". You can see shirts through out the stadium, people with fake facial hair to replicate him, it is just crazy and San Fran has lost its mind. Without Wilson pitching in some of the most crucial situations in the post season the Giants would have never won the World Series. He is the perfect man for the job. When he goes out to pitch his team knows he is going to get the job done, in fact everyone in the stadium knows that and the other team fears him. That is why Fear the Beard is perfect for him and his awesomeness.

Wood Metal?

For years college baseball has been dominated by the hitters.  Unlike the professionals who use wood bats college players use metal or aluminum bats.  Many have debated that they should change college to wood bats.  Kids are getting bigger and stronger and the balls are coming of at a ridiculous speed.  They do have regulations on how fast a ball should come off the bat, but still the ball comes of way to fast.  Well finally this year college baseball has forced a new rule for every Division 1 baseball program.  They must all use brand new metal bats that are made to be more like a wood bat.

College Baseball

5 AM wake up walk to the gym to see Forbes, work out, go to class.  Finish up classes walk straight to the baseball field for practice.  Run more.  Go home shower, eat, do some school work, get ready to do it again tomorrow.
